My water aerobics class was at my house this week when we were testing the chlorine levels 2 days before I realized the water wasn’t hot at all. I called up and they were very sympathetic and helpful the handyman was amazing to boot.

Can they fix it? Yes they can all in the monthly fee and deductible got my fridge up and about with no extra money out of my pocket but a nice tip for the handyman with pleasure..

My home protection plan has been a real help to me. I feel so secure knowing that I have what to count on in certain situations. When my AC went out, they were able to get a repairman out the same day, which was really important since I have young children in the house. We are on a tight budget, so we were thankful that we didn’t have to cover the full cost of this expensive repair which would have been a huge setback for us. I have had a home warranty with a different company for a few years, but was never satisfied with them. After making the switch to hsc I have been very happy with their service. When our fridge leaked we placed the claim online and they called us back soon after. We were able to get it fixed the next day. He also gave us tips on fridge maintenance which is good to know. I’m going to request this vendor again because he was professional and seemed to know what he was doing.

Having a home warranty with HSC has been a huge blessing for us. For the first few years we barely used it, and so we weren’t sure of it was really worthwhile. However, recently we had our entire HVAC system replaced. That would have been a lot of money but in the end all we paid was the deductible. Our warranty has paid for itself and I think every homeowner should have one!

So we had these outlets that weren’t working. The woman I spoke to was helpful and I explained the issue to her. She got us in touch with the electrician and we set the appt. He showed up a few minutes late but that was ok since he called before to let us know. The issue was fixed shortly and he was nice and cleaned up afterwards. We are satisfied with a job well done.

It’s so hard to find a company that actually does what they say they do, that’s why when I find one I let everyone know about it. The Home Service Club has stood by me for all these years, and only once did they turn down a claim which was covered under the manufacturer’s warranty anyway so that was fine. I highly recommend!

Our landlord has a home warranty and since we’ve moved in to his house the dishwasher needed repair, the washing machine needed replacement, and now the hot water heater needs replacement. The homeowners warranty company has covered everything minus the $65 co-payments etc., though it took 1 weeks for the new washer. We are expecting a new water heater tomorrow. I have purchased the The Home Service Club for the home we purchased, and also for my rental property in chicago. So I was given a discount for both properties. I have used the warranty few time for the rental and response was fast, curtious and work was completed. No headache for me to find repair person in chicago area. I always get a follow up call after the work is finished and feedback is asked. This time I used warranty for my primary residence on a cold winter day for my heating unit. The person taking the call was very courteous , thorough and asked all that the question. I got the return call within and hour. The repair man called me next day and set up the service for the following day. Promptly came on time and not only fixed the problem which was the thermostat but checked everything to make sure that all other parts of the heating system were also working at the optimum. So two thumps up for the service person and also the call center. I have recommended it to my friends and family. All I had to pay was $60as my deductable. I’ve had my policy with the home service club for about 6 months and had two claims during that period. The first claim (hot water heater) was handled with efficiency and professionalism – I was impressed. The second claim was related to my freezer. The service company sub-contractor HSC hired for the repair came to my home several times and was unable to repair the freezer – instead each time replacing parts that did not address the problem. I was annoyed by the sub-contractor’s inability to repair the freezer and had to go back HSC. Sympathetic to the problems I had with the sub-contractor, HSC Warranty contracted with a different repair company that came to my house quickly and successfully determined during their first visit the problem with my freezer. In summary, I believe HSC proved to be a good choice for my home warranty. Their claim’s department has been pleasant to deal with and responsive. I recognize that the problem I had with their sub-contractor was out of the home service club control and appreciate that once they recognized the problem, they quickly acted to replace the sub-contractor. I 1st reported a problem with my garage on a Thursday. I did not hear from a repair company at all. I called the home service club on Monday, Tuesday, & Wednesday, & I was getting frustrated. Finally on Wednesday, the repairman called & came out on Thursday. He had to order parts, but HSC has been pleasant & helpful in getting this resolved. The repairman came the following Monday & fixed the garage door. This was my 1st time using my warranty with the home service club. after having it for two years. We live at the very far edge of of the metro area, and it’s often difficult to get repair people to come promptly. I called air conditioner claim in early Sunday AM (as the house temperature began to raise in the AZ heat), and was called back quickly by Hsc, who then put in an order to the service company. Unfortunately the service company was not manned until Monday AM, but they got out to the house by 10AM that morning, and the repair was finished by noon. I was very please by both the Home Service Club’s service, and the service company. The service company was prompt, courteous and knowledgable, and I was impressed by the fact that the service company had the necessary part ( fan motor) on their truck. Heater would not shut off at desired temp called HSC for service call talked with CS whom were pleasant to talk with was told i would get a call within 48 hours turns out it was 3 days later. I recently purchased a home warranty policy from hsc for one of my rental properties in Arizona. After reading reviews on every company out there I was still quite skeptical about purchasing a home warranty. I decided to go with hsc because they had a great ating with the Better Business Bureau. After purchasing the policy I was still a little concerned as to what would happen when my tenant calls me with a problem. Well Last week I got a call from my tenant about a plumbing backup. I called hsc immediately and was very pleased to get a live person on the phone right away. The customer service rep told me he would get someone out to my tenant as soon as possible but it may not happen until tomorrow. Imagine my surprise when I spoke with my tenant just several hours later to find out a plumber had already made it out to the home and fixed the drain. My tenant couldn’t have been any happier and neither could I. I have since purchased additional policies for some of my other homes and I would absolutely recommend The Home Service Club to anyone looking for a warranty. PS. I researched the home warranty market for ratings and reviews before finally choosing to go with the home service club to cover a Florida home I planned to rent for a couple of years until the market hopefully allows me to sell it at a fair price. Their warranty fee was not the cheapest, but was competitive with many other warranty offerings. But I was influenced by web comments on personal experiences posted at a few review sites that were more often than not superior/favorable. A few months after I procured the warranty and a family rented my home, a water heater problem arose. After reviewing the circumstances to assure that the leak was not the result of negligence or abuse, the water heater was promptly replaced. Within a week, a similar problem with the pool pump resulted in inspection to confirm proper prior maintenance, followed by repair by local agents for HSC. I had a chance to discuss general warranty issues with the head of customer service at the home service club, being concerned that such a short time into coverage, I was already far ahead on the cost/benefit curve, and Hsc was now far behind, since the first repair exceeded the cost of the premium. He did explain that while they, like any insurance agency, must make careful efforts not to be abused by fraud or being set-up to fix a bunch of unmaintained equipment (e.g., AC units, pumps, heaters, etc. that do require regular maintenance to avoid early failure), Hsc was also quite conscientious about the poor services and coverage avoidance engaged in by less honorable warranty firms, and was taking pains to maintain their superior performance and reputation with homeowners. While I acknowledge that some records of prior maintenance should be maintained on certain appliances to assure a prompt response, I, for one, have been impressed enough to provide these comments, and while I certainly hope my tenants do not encounter any other problems while renting my home, I am much more comfortable knowing that I have a the home service club to back me up! The home service club is the third home warranty company we have used over the last 15 years. They are head and shoulders above the current pack for a number of reasons: 1. Their fees are reasonable. 2. They tend to approve, not disapprove, repairs. 3. You can actually speak to someone who is authorized to make things happen, and they do. No company is perfect, and let’s face it: any insurance or warranty company is supposed to be cautious about claims; individuals are as likely to be unscrupulous as some companies are, and a good company cannot afford to be taken advantage of. It was our experience with two prior companies, who had once had charged reasonable fees and provided quick, reliable service, somewhat quickly morphed into companies that seemed to be more geared to not providing repairs. Front line representatives were the only ones reachable as a human voice, and they either had no authority or pretended they did not. As important, local repair companies that had provided years of service suddenly stopped working with these companies. Their complaints and observations echoed our own. Interestingly, we found the home service club via this site, and we are concluding our first year with them. There has only been one small hiccup in a handful of repair requests. We happen to have timed it just right when their phone center was being upgraded, and reaching them took a bit longer. However, once we got through and explained that we had not gotten the service we expected, they began calling us proactively to make sure things were going well. To underscore this, the last repair we had was to replace a hot water tank that was very non-standard. HSC found two competing vendors to get the job done, but it still exceeded their maximum coverage. We found a third and they agreed we had the best choice, but we had to pay the vendor. We faxed over the invoice and got our reimbursement check within 10 days, counting delivery time. You may not find them perfect, but you will certainly find them to be what you need in a home warranty company. For perfection, look to be adopted by an heir. L H. D

So far I am extremely happy with my home warranty! After coming home from a weekend away, our water heater wasn’t working-no hot water in the middle of winter is absolutely miserable! I called the home service club on a Friday afternoon, and the customer service representative was extremely polite and helpful. She told me I would hear from the contractor in 24-48 hours. Unfortunately, by Monday afternoon I had still not heard from anyone. I called again, and the customer service rep (a different one) was incredibly helpful. She put in a call to the contractor, and said if we didn’t hear back by the end of the day, she would assign me to a new contractor. This is what happened, and the new contractor called me at about 10 AM the next day. They came out that afternoon and fixed my water heater in about half an hour. I’m not thrilled that it took so long, but it wasn’t the home service club’s fault. Everyone I dealt with was extremely polite and helpful, and my problems were addressed and resolved quickly. Because renewing my policies has become quite expensive I researched other companies and was very pleased with the sales department when I inquired about the deductible and premium along with their coverage features and policies. Until I signed up with hsc, I had only bad experiences with home warranty companies. Other ones I’ve dealt with didn’t send their contractors on time, their contractors didn’t know what they were doing or refused to do certain jobs for bogus reasons, etc. I had just about given up on home warranty. I assumed they were all scams until a friend of mine recommended hsc, and now hsc forever changed my view of home warranty! I’ve used them several times since signing up earlier this year and they’ve always done exactly what they said they would. The contractors they send over are always professional, and they always arrive when hsc says they will. My one complaint is sometimes dealing with their customer service can be a pain, but it all depends who you get on the phone. When I tried running it it would just hum. I contacted The Home Service Club, they tried troubleshooting it over the phone, the reset button, would not solve the problem. The technician was at my door the next worning, I work nights, so I could nt have him come in on Wednesday. I have been with The home service club for several years. They have honored our home warranty contract. For the money, you can’t beat it. I am quite happy with the way The Home Service Club has treated me thus far. This is not my first home warranty as I have had several different providers over the 12 years I have been at my current home. They are friendly, responsive and actually seem to care about my issues. I have had two claims, one of which was handled flawlessly and completed within a day. The second took a little longer but I understand it was not HSC ‘s fault the tech had to reschedule.I look forward to keeping my business with them as long as the service they are providing continues the way it has been going. I recently had a warranty claim from one of my rental homes. My property manager said it was handled well and saved me a few hundred dollars, it was a fan motor for the HVAC system. While I am new to this company, I am pleased with my first experience. At this rate, I will transfer my other two properties to them when they expire. Heater would not shut off at desired temp called Hsc for service call talked with CS whom were pleasant to talk with was told i would get a call within 48 hours turns out it was 3 days later. Service tech showed up 2 days after that came in inspected everything called Hsc replaced and rewired thermostat explained everything to us in detail…Although this service call took longer than promised this was all done during the holidays. Thanks Hsc would definitely recommend you guys.

My water heater was leaking on a Friday evening at 10:00. I called them up and within an hour I received a call and they assured me that It was not going to explode. And somebody would call me in the a.m. I received a call on Saturday morning at 9:00, the service guy said he would be at my home in one hour, he arrived and had it fixed in 1/2 hour, it was the T&P pressure valve. He was prompt, professional and all is great with the water heater. The customer service dept. called me later in the day to make sure everything was ok. I would recommend this warranty company to everybody. My husband works out of state 3 days out of the week, and I feel safe that if anything goes in my home that I am just a phone call away to getting it fixed. They responded in a terrifc turn around time and I was very pleased with the service all around. Thank you very much HSC……YOU GUYS ARE THE BEST… (J. Y , Pa)
