I can say that 100% of the time the service was satisfactory. If the item in question couldn’t be repaired I was provided a new one. For example my microwave which is an appliance I rely on. So when I called in they heard me out and realized no point in repairs, I got a new one. Great service.

Friday afternoon there was clearly a big plumbing issue we could all smell it alright. I dialed the familiar number doubting anything was possible over the weekend lo and behold a plumber came first thing Sunday morning!! Freezer leaking again. It was fixed twice already. I call in all upset and request a supervisor. Explained the whole complicated long story… I won’t bore you with the details. Suffice it to say the contractor sent out originally wasn’t the greatest and that’s being kind. We finally got a professional out and he did the repairs as they should’ve been done the first time. I’m writing in to commend my warranty team for taking proper responsibility and stepping up to the plate. I don’t know many businesses who will admit they made the mistake and refund for it to boot! I’m so so happy you gained a forever customer.

After hearing from the service vendor himself the horrible way which he is treated it’s no longer a surprise that the repairs don’t last. If they would treat the vendors with respect instead of taking advantage of them the quality of the work might just be slightly better.

Less than half the amount I paid for the replacement dishwasher that’s what they wanted to give me. Not nice after all I went through trying to replace it through them and finally replacing it myself after much heartache I expect FULL reimbursement certainly not half!

Holiday weekend is the absolute worst time for things to break down and that is what always seems to happen Murphy’s Law right? But I already know that even on holidays and weekends it’s possible to receive the assistance I need. So my faucet wasn’t working optimally and I’d just had it replaced so I was unhappy. I contacted the rep and complained and they sent back the original vendor. Turns out the guy who installed it did a shoddy job and it had to be removed and reinstalled. Now it works as it should. I’m happy that responsibility for this error didn’t fall on my shoulders. If there was an option for ten stars I would give it. The extraordinary patience and kindness of the entire staff really pulled us through the latest crisis, this time involving the well that supplies all the water in our home. The submersible pump needed to be replaced, a costly project to say the least. Turns out I was covered under warranty and had it all done for the service fee, a fraction of the cost of just the pump never mind the labor!

My warranty is going strong! A few months after fixing the microwave and pool pump the heat went bonkers. It was puttering and sputtering and not warming the house. Put in the complaint and had it repaired mercifully not too long afterwards I hate being cold and my house is warm again now.

I was warned not to sign up but I decided to try my luck well I guess I wasn’t too lucky I feel ripped off big time. My AC wasn’t cooling so well they guy came down to look at it and said it’s rusty so it’s not covered due to some small print in the contract well if that’s not covered I’ll take my trust somewhere else.

My pool was looking very dirty and with a pool party scheduled that was the last thing I wanted. I called in 2-10 a very nice lady answered my call. After assuring me that I was fully covered she said to expect a call from the pool guys. Half an hour later I got the call and scheduled for the very same day. The compressor in our fridge needed to be replaced. I was sure this was the problem we were having because it’s happened to us before. The contractor was very genial and willing to listen to what I thought the problem was and ultimately after a check up he said I was right. We waited for the new compressor for a week, was fine because I have a spare fridge, and then all is fixed now working better than before.

As a young couple buying our first home the realtor included a one year warranty with 2-10 in the price. With all that was going on I didn’t even register it. Time came to renew I was so unsure my wife said its a few dollars a month just do it. And than suddenly it seemed like the house was falling apart. Hottest day of the year my AC is barely creaking along of course that’s just my luck. I call one heating and cooling company after the other no one can spare me the time of day its the absolute busiest time. Very disappointed. In the second month of my contract I needed some repairs that was my very first claim and it wasn’t honored that’s what I call starting out on the WRONG foot it was downhill from there now I can’t even cancel without paying a percent of the contract.

Toilet sounded scary when it flushed my 4 year old was sobbing there’s a monster in the toilet…I was like ok time to call in my warranty. They were responsive and sympathetic and got it fixed right away my little boy is back to his happy cute self 🙂

Most HORRIBLE people you can work with! They will respond to you but will tell you that it’s not covered in warranty even though it states in packet it was covered. Repairs are faulty and you point it out to them and they say, how dare you question professionals who know how to make repairs! If the repair was good, there would be no problem! Obviously complained if the problem was not fixed! This company takes your $$ and does not help you! They’re probably paid off by the builder!

Horrible! I wouldn’t even give them one star if I didn’t have to put something in here. I have had this warranty for less than 30 days and they are refusing to pay a $300 claim for parts and labor for a furnace. They are claiming it is an accessory even thought the furnace will not run without it! I have had other home warranty companies and this is by far the WORST!. Stay away from them if at all possible and if you are dealing with Tate reality don’t let them sell you this shady warranty!

This home buyers warranty company was given to by the builder and went into affect 1 year later. My husband & I are very very dissatisfied with this warranty company. Item that were covered are no longer covered. This company initially provided structural coverage, but since its inception over time has disappeared from our agreement along with certain aplliance coverage. The customer service seem uniformed about what us or is not covered. We have contractors to come into our home damage our appliance & get away with it. The 2-10- HBW has done nothing to address this particular incident. We recently found out that our washer & dryer was covered in 2008-2009, but since then is no longer covered. Please note that we did not cancel the coverage, it just became uncovered by the agreement without any notice to us. Each year when we renew coverage we ask about the coverage and have been told that we all of appliances are covered. Recently, we found out that they changed warranty/policy definition & device fee and we were not notified, but they have receive payment consistently evey year since 2006. We bought our home brand new, we watch them build it from the ground up. This company was suppose offer structural coverage as well as appliance, plumbing, & other coverages. However, since initial enrollment the coverages had disappeared without so must as whisper to us. When contacting the about damaged appliance because their contractor, we have not received any response. When called about the changes made to our agreement and not being notified at the time if renewal or prior to renewal we were given severe attitude when trying rectify the problem. We are now playing the blame game, being transferred from one department to another , of no one what’s to take responsibility for the misinformation provided to us or their poor contractors sent to our home. It is really unbelievable how businesses can take for granted their customers and treat them any kind of way. We have been loyal customers for over 6 years & look at what that had gotten us.

The exhaust fan motor on my furnace went out , I called the 800 number , within 30 seconds I was talking to someone , 2 days later the furnace guy showed up and within 1 hour my furnace was fixed also the assholes who worked on the furnace before put a exhaust vent on that was too short and used tape to take up the gap , they fixed that as well.

Worst customer service ever. I have had three claims with them and each one is the same. You have to spend an hour on hold to talk to anyone. They are slow in responding. They pay the contractors very little, which results in low quality work. They will do everything they possibly can to fight you on payment of claims. We received this warranty free when we purchased our house, and it is barely worth what we paid for it. Stay away from this company. They are the worst!

This us the worst company ever. I feel terrible for making our old homeowner for paying for this crap! Over the summer we had to make a claim because our AC decided to get clogged and the run water into our living room. It wasn’t covered under the warranty. This is after they found a contractor that was 2 hours away from where we live. Just tried to call because our furnace is acting up, they told me that it was an emergency basis, and they have in my file that I have a infant with medical problems. They call me back to tell me that they can’t get anyone to me until tomorrow afternoon… So much for an emergency. I would rather pay the extra money and call someone, then go through this joke of a company. I’m done with them!

We have had this company and a warranty on our home since buying it 4 years ago. Since then our HVAC system has had to be repaired at LEAST 5 times. Of course this ALWAYS happens at the worst times, heating in the winter, AC in the summer. We’ve been told several times the system was out dated, parts were hard or impossible to come by and this last time it was FINALLY recommended by the contractor to be replaced. However, 2 weeks after initial failure we are STILL in the cold. We were contacted by 2-10, first it was to be replaced, 95$ extra charge. Then we were contacted again by 2-10, replaced 295$. Then yet again repaired 295$ and finally (hopefully) repaired 95$ The largest issue is that all this time and back and forth the contractor is unable to DO ANYTHING! So if parts are to be ordered they needed to wait. Meanwhile it’s dropping to 40 degrees or less. We tried and spoke to several reps including “supervisors” who later denied to speak to us. BAD FORM!!! 2-10. I’d come to expect much more

Terrible customer service. I called multiple times regarding a refund and was told I would be contact back the same day. Not once did I receive a phone call back from anyone. I was denied repayment for a service that I had done because I didn’t have pre-approval. I couldn’t get pre-approval because they are not open on Sunday to file a claim! Absolutely terrible customer service in every aspect.

We have filed two warranty claims during this first year of coverage. Both times the claims were forwarded to the sub contractor promptly, and the sub called us within hours. The service techs came out the next day & repairs were made. We won’t be renewing our policy with 2-10, but only because of their higher prices….I hope that doesn’t come back to bite me – you get what you pay for?

I have my policy for almost a year now, what a lot of people do not realize is that you can’t read the entire policy until you pay the premium that’s when you find out what’s not cover. I have been trying to get a refrigerator fix or replace for the past month, the technician can out diagnose the problem but have not been back to install the parts. The companies that they use could care less about any retribution by CHW, there is something going on with this company and I am considering legal action.

I have had the service for 4 years now. I originally received the warranty when I purchased my house of 12 years. During the first year, I had the water heater replaced. I was a little worried about the service because of claims of home warranties not fulfilling claims. The claim went through, and I received a new water heater. The claim process was like this. I submitted the claim it took to the next business day for the work order to get to the service center. They usually call the day they receive the claim. Once the service person recognized I need a water heater, he took pictures of the unit and wrote up reasons why I need a water heater. The next business day I had the unit installed. So, it took three business days to get the claim processed. After this claim, I have purchased the warranty each year after. I usually submit an average of 2-3 claims a year. I have yet to have one claim turned down. The only thing I have run into that the company would not replace was an Ice maker on a refrigerator (which I did not submit a claim for after talking with Customer Service) and I was requested to pay an environment fee ($50) for a heater exchange (Btw… The HVAC service said would cost $2600 to replace the heater exchange, and I paid $50 Trade fee/$50 Environment fee). The warranty has additional options you can purchase to cover an ice maker and other small items. But in the case of the ice maker, I purchased the ice maker myself and installed it into my refrigerator for less than $100. Over the years, I have seen the customer service get better. The website has become very easy to submit a claim, and I have noticed the claims are processed through the website faster than a couple of years ago. I normally submit a claim now during business hours, and I get a call from the service generally the next morning or the same day. I have had claims submitted in the morning and a service tech at the house the same day. I cannot pick the service company, but I have had service companies provide bad service, and I call customer service with the complaint. Usually, they will cancel the work order, and call another service provider.

Worst service ever! Seriously question the knowledge/experience of the company (if you call it that) providing the service. Spent what seemed an inordinate amount of time trying to run my washing machine through cycles. Had to wait a week to get the motor – only to find that now the circuitry is out. The repairman had returned and had someone else with him! Couldn’t repair it by himself? Have been waiting a week and a half now and still haven’t received that part. Called on Tuesday May 27 for a minor water leak in my crawl space-was told 24/48 hours for someone to call me. Thursday May 29 I had to call 2-10 back because no one contacted me or returned my call. They gave me a new work order number and a new contracted company and said the contractor would call me within 24 hours. I also called the contracted company name they gave me and left a message-no one called me back. Thursday evening this minor issue turned into a major emergency-I had 3 inches of water in my entire crawl space instead of the minor issue it was on Tuesday. I called 2-10 back to ask for the work order to be escalated or changed to an emergency. They changed to an emergency and I still did not hear back from anyone. Sunday June 1st I received a phone call from 2-10 saying they were having difficulty getting a contractor for me and to go ahead and contact an out of network company of my choice and to submit the diagnostic and estimate for reimbursment. They did not tell me that the reimbursment would take 20 business days IF APPROVED. 2-10 has now become very difficult to work with. I would have only paid my $100 deductible if they would have had reliable contracted companies. Now Im out $620 and did most the work myself cleaning up all the water in my crawl space from a minor plumbing issue which could have been nothing had someone came out when it was a little leak. Im very disappointed, and frustrated that I wasted my money on a diagnosis/estimate when I could have had my brothers and friends come out and do it for a case of beer. So very very upset.

We have had 2-10 for 6 years now and have had about 3 claims. Before this time they have always been timely. Our air conditioner went out after we bought the house. they came out twice before it was decided they would replace the unit. No problem. All three times were complete within a week. The 2nd time we called was our hot water heater- that was decided and replaced the same day the tech came out. However, our washing machine is another story. We made the claim on 11/3/11. Tech came out the next day and said it was the transmission and 5 days for the part. 7 days later they came out with the trans. and it still didn’t work so it must be the motor (right?)5 days later they came out with the motor… not the problem, still not working. Tech stated could be the ground and not worth fixing. However the warranty company doesn’t want to replace, i guess. Looks like another motor has been ordered and expected for Dec 3 but according to the warranty company this is the 1st motor and maybe they will replace. Regardless, it has been 4 weeks, no washer and lots of frustration. ‘they understand’ they say as they order my part that will take another 5 or so days. then if the tech comes out and still can’t fix, they will have to order me a ‘like’ washer! which will be another 5 days then i have to wait for the tech. everyone has different stories. i have already spent $100 for the tech to come out and over $150 at the laundry mat and looking at another 2-4 weeks. Previous times were timely (which is why I gave the 2′s) but really researching other warranty companies. Based on this time only they would have gotten 0′s. Any suggestions?

Although I was initially hesitant about a home warranty, the seller provided me with one at closing, and I’m glad that I insisted on getting one! Within just a few weeks after I bought my home, our fridge went out, and 2-10 Home Warranty was very prompt in getting it serviced. In the end, the entire cost of the repair was covered, and I especially appreciated that the company called me back afterwards to ask about my experience and to provide them with feedback. The customer service rep I dealt with was very friendly and professional – so I would definitely recommend 2-10 Home Warranty in the future!
